End-to-End Fiber-Optic Design Solutions
UniWave specializes in comprehensive fiber-optic network design, providing complete solutions from preliminary planning through to construction-ready documentation.
Our goal is to deliver designs that are precise, and fully compliant with all technical and jurisdictional requirements.
Project Boundary & Data
We begin with the defined design boundary and all necessary GIS and cadastral data. Using this information, our team identifies demand points with accurate addresses and prepares parcel data to establish a solid foundation for the project.

Base mapping Development
We create detailed base maps including:
• Back of curb
• Right of way (ROW)
• Driveways and access paths
• Building footprints and structures.
These layers ensure all network elements
are accurately placed in real-world conditions.

Low-Level Design (LLD)
Here, we refine the design to a detailed, construction-ready level, including:
• Placement of span and underground structures,
• Installation design for splitters (1x8, etc.),
• Routing of drop distribution cables and core cables,
• Detailed fiber paths, splicing plans, and labeling schemes.
The LLD stage ensures every element is technically verified and ready for implementation.
High-Level Design (HLD)
During the HLD stage, define the fiber network architecture and verify that the design will
be practical and constructible.
This includes:
• Span placement and route optimization
• Aerial and underground structures
• Splice closures and cabinet locations
• Division into Fiber Distribution Areas (FDAs)
• Review of utility easements and potential crossing challenges
• Field verification, ensuring the design minimizes construction obstacles and avoids disruption to residents or existing utilities.

Construction Drawings
In the final phase, we deliver construction drawings containing all necessary details for field implementation.
These include accurate routing, splicing, labeling, and construction notes — ensuring smooth execution during the build phase.
Permitting & Jurisdiction Coordination
We prepare permitting drawings according to the specific jurisdictions involved and verify:
• City and county requirements,
• Number and type of drawings required,
• Whether profiles, additional details, or specific permit packages are needed.
For projects requiring TOT (Time of Transition) or similar complex approval processes, we
manage the additional steps to ensure all documentation meets regulatory expectations.

Why Choose Us
• Complete end-to-end design service — from project boundaries to construction-ready plans.
• Field-verified designs that guarantee compliance and real-world constructability.
• Extensive knowledge of U.S. fiber markets and local permitting requirements.
• Collaborative approach with network operators, contractors, and engineering teams.
• Precise deliverables that minimize field issues and accelerate construction timelines.
